The rejection message stated in no uncertain terms that the people at 
PenTeleData had added NTL to their private black list.  It even gave the 
IP address of NTL's outbound SMTP Relay client.  And it pointed to 
http://www.ptd.net/RBL .  Read it and weep.  PenTeleData operates a 
private blacklist of its own and it just added NTL to it for an unknown 
reason.  Welcome to the balkanization of SMTP mail.
