IIRC, IBM BIOS doesn't do hard disks. Rather, on the IBM PC, the BIOS calls into the ROM that was provided with the hard disk interface. I think you might need to write a hard disk ROM to go with your custom BIOS. There's nothing to stop you from combining a hard disk BIOS with your custom BIOS though as long as it detects the presence of it. -- Tactical Nuclear Kittens
