I've been meaning to give Minix a try one day. Also you don't
mention the BSDs, which all still have good support for old CPUs.
KolibriOS should run well. More important than the old CPU/RAM for
obscure OSs might be the peripherals like sound card, GPU, USB, and
Ethernet, because with obscure OSs there will probably only be
drivers available for specific chipsets. Don't expect much luck
with WiFi.
