I have two USB pendrives, one 4 GB and one 8 GB. On both I installed FusionLinux, which is a custom Fedora build. I used the installer from pendrivelinux.com. Saying Fusion was not on the list of supported distros, it didn't work. Saying it was Fedora 14, the 4 Gb drive boots fine, but the 8 Gb drive says that syslinux can't find its config file or a set boot target as an alternative. On inspection, I can see no difference between the two. Permissions seem to be the same. I copied the syslinux.cfg across from the working one to the 8 Gb in case there was a hidden character, or something. Nothing helps. An 8 GB from another source was ignored on bootup. This one is found, but can't be used. Any suggestions, please? Or is it just gremlins? Doug.
