My grandfather on mother's side died at 84. Mom was murdered by guy who was found eventually by DNA matching and he was in prison. Random violence. I broke a femur about 5 years ago and, since my home isn't handicapped friendly in the least, I spent a couple of months in the rehab wing of a nursing home. I took meals with the general pop and I can say it sometimes is bad luck to live too long. That wasn't even the 'memory wing'. I could wander around at will but that was off limits.
