I think that is a very good idea. IIRC, Missoula is a
big college town in Montana US, so it makes sense.
I hope other towns starts doing this!

Missoula is also home to the Missoula Smokejumper Visitor Center, dedicated to the brave souls who parachute into wildlands to fight fires that may be inaccessible by road. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smokejumper -- -Don_from_AZ-

As far as population, around 75,000 which is only big in Montana. They built a new library which was to open in 2020 but covid delayed it. There is a Makerspace, a kids' educational area, meeting rooms, a lot of digital stuff, and so forth. I'm not sure they have more physical books than the old library but it manages to take up 4 floors. The ebook collection is quite large which means I don't physically visit as much as I used to. I can either download books through the Libby app or they are routed through Amazon. The downside of the college town thing is the official city flag is a rainbow, the state rep from one of the wards is a trannie, and the subreddit leans very far left. Bernie Sanders has been here twice and drew a big crowd each time. Trump got a good turnout too but the city is in no way representative of the rest of the state politically. Anyway, I hope it takes off. I'll probably go to see what's up even if I don't have a Windows 10 box.

Setting up a training group for people who presently lack funds for another new Windows machine in line with the Microsloth requirements seem a good idea. I will mention this to my group contact. Maybe SF-LUG or one of the other LUGs can use it to get more members. I used to be the librarian there before Covid restrictions forbade in person meetings. By the time Covid restrictions were lifted my endurance had deteriorated so that a 30 minute ride to get to the meeting was not a good idea. Exercise just makes me sick. bliss bliss

Most of the members worked at the same place and it was difficult to attract new blood. Sort of like this NG we were all fairly proficient so there wasn't a lot to talk about. People would explain tools that they were working with but they were specialized enough that there wasn't common interest. I'm hoping Windows 10's demise generates more interest. They're using Mint which is a gentle transition. A couple of months ago they had transitioned a Windows 10 computer in the Makerspace so they should be comfortable.
