Like zypper 'dnf' which replace yum is used rather than rpm. re: Wayland. The openSUSE install defaulted to X11. It was subtle but Klondike in the KPatience package seemed a little off when the cards were moved. I logged into a Wayland session and it was smoother. Again, subjective and very minor.

Are you saying/implying that Debian might have a more up-to-date version of RPM tooling than some actual RPM-native distros?

LLMs don't create knowledge de novo. I prefer researching questions as I have always done so I can curate the sources rather than trusting some slop a LLM found on reddit. LLMs and the supporting massive data centers are the 21st century equivalent of trying to build an economy based on taking in each other's washing.

Fedora 44 has 6.0.1. It's to be expected it would have the latest 'redhat package manager'. I use it very seldom, preferring dnf5. I presume it's also the backend for Discover.
