Have you heard of te Younger Dryas? A short intensely cold spell the was 
the last gasp of the cold part of the last ice age. According to ice 
cores at least in Greenland temperatures rose 14°C in less than ten 
years. No CO2 involved.

Utter bollocks. It is fuelled purely by the desire for a higher standard 
of living coupled with a rejection of science and all things Western 
except the technology and the produce.

Science and technology are the same. Like is tough at higher latitudes, 
Especially winter.
Technology allows people to survive better,

You d0nt need much to survive in the middle of a tropical rainforest. 
Just an awareness of all the stuff that's out to kill you and an 
awareness of all the stuff that is suitable to kill and eat. And a black 
skin to get rid of the body heat.
