You can't stuff things up just by attempting an > "fdisk -l". Not with '-l' ... but if you supply MORE params .... Few Linux CL utils DEMAND interactive mode, there are work-arounds ... which MIGHT be found on 'helpful' web sites ... intended for fully automatic purposes. In any case, newbies need to be CAREFUL - don't just cut-n-paste anything you find. If you're not sure - DON'T !
