Brand is MSI. I think I bought it Nov 2016. It has an M2 type of nvme flash disk, but came with the hardware to install a laptop type rotating rust hard disk. It has no fan.

This type of minipc can be bolted to a flat display (behind, on 4 nut holes they have), so that the footprint on a table is minimal. You may have observed this type of setup in banks and offices. Mine has both ethernet and WiFi.
I did not do this. I connected it to an external hard disk over USB3, which eventually grew up to 4 disks. Now it runs a software raid 6 with 8 hard disks instead. I would actually need a more powerful version. It draws minimal electricity.

I'm not really a connoisseur of them. The idea is using laptop hardware, but in a tiny square box. Add display and keyboard. It is a neat idea for media servers (absolutely silent), or home or office computers, as long as the tasks are not cpu intensive. Then a fan would be desired. Not the thing if you are going to do video conversion, but perfect for browsing internet or light-medium office work.
Obviously, some come with Windows installed. I bought mine empty.
