I think I downloaded Skype's Linux app to my Lenovo T410, which
is running Debian Jessie.  It says "Skype[tm] 4.3 for Linux".
It found the laptop's built-in webcam and microphone and Just Works.

Judging from the Trump phenomenon, I'd say populism is heroin.
