I believe that happened right after the initial install. I had gotten a message asking if I wanted to install a wireless driver and said yes. Either it installed the wrong driver, or none at all. I reinstalled b43 a couple times with no change. Finally I started up Package Manager and went to the b43 section. It listed 3 installer packages for b43 firmware drivers for use with b43-fwcutter. None of them were installed. I picked the one that seemed to match my hardware and installed it. After that my wireless networking started functioning.
