THAT would be an amazing project. Not necessary for a lot of gadgets. The cubieboard has android, but has preferential boot for SDCard. So if a uSD card with Linux is inserted, it boots that first. Almost anything with the Allwinner chips like A10, A20 can boot this way. Sometimes an internal button to put the device into 'FEL boot mode' needs to be pressed. More sales to the companies that put in dual boot features. I bought cubieboards and A10 / A20 tablets and do this all the time.
