Say more about these people please, in particular tell us how they
control access to the linux codebase.

I suppose that when one depends on providers, their claims that
something is non-blocking actually have some importance. Meanwhile the
code that I use times out on what is claimed to be blocking.

So it goes. The question of how these people allegedly control access
to the linux codebase is fascinating. Perhaps they control it by
choosing what they will provide and when they will provide it. In my
naivte it appears that there is no other way what is freely available
can be controlled. And in my unlimited bastardy it appears to me that
those who do not wish to be controlled by those who create, should
create their own.
