btw -- also Microsoft is no stranger to sick designs.
E.g.
* MFC,
* most of the OLE and ActiveX interfaces,
* CreateProcess which may accidentally inherit handles if used in a
multithreaded environment,
* CreateProcess, which gets passed a single commandline containing
executable path and arguments,
including multiple possibilities of interpreting this in case of
spaces.
