Yes, where you play the notes of a chord sequentially instead of
simultaneously, as you would when strumming a chord. Most of
the shredders use extensive amounts of scales and/ or arpeggios.
They've spent so much time they forget about the rest of the stuff.
In reality they take very few risks because it's all so pattern based.
There is not much in the way of a melodic conversation. You may
not like the following material (and the drums are too hot sometimes)
or the way he plays but there is no denying he's making the changes,
sometimes at a high rate of speed and he's doing it with a very clean
tone, meaning there is *nothing* to hide technique flaws or mistakes
behind.

if you're reading, you're excused from this, I know it would probably kill you ;)

> What's alt picking and hammering?

alt = alternate picking (up and down).

hammering = hammer-on, where you literally use a finger in a 'hammer' like
fashion instead of picking it.

Another great musician.

Phenom Alan Holdsworth just passed, may he rest in peace.

14:41? Not gonna happen. I listened to a few minutes and the guitar is
incredible.

You like Vince Gill? He's surprisingly good on guitar.

I used to have vinyl albums by Parkening and Segovia. They were both
masters, too.

About 20 years ago I bought a Seagull acoustic, but it's barely been
touched since.

Hell yeah! The guy is another badass, as is Tommy Emmanuel, check him
out on YT.

A few other country players you might like are Johnny Hiland, Albert Lee and
the lesser known Scottie Anderson. Lee is old now but check out his earlier
stuff.

I actually started with classical, both of them were heroes to me, as was
John Williams and Julian Bream. I got to see and was introduced to Parkening
by my teacher way back when. Then I turned to the 'dark side'... electric
guitar... and it was all down hill from there (Allman Bros, Santana and
Robben Ford were early influences).

Agreed... though Sandman sometimes tries to compete, it is half-hearted and
done mostly with scripts... and he gets bored and moves on even with that.

People? I said you rape newsgroups. How many meds must one mix to turn newsgroups into "people"?

And you do.

Despite all your many years of lies to the contrary, as I never met the woman it's not even a "whatever". I do know that she thoroughly embarrassed you "many, many" times so she was going to get your full bore narcissistic rage treatment. You really should see someone about that anger issue. Hmmm... maybe that's what these "heinous meds" are all about? How's your eye today? ;)

Even more "Amazing" is that DFS still uses you for trolling purposes. I guess even he realizes you're *that* far ahead of him when it comes to trolling.

nothing nice to say about TCP/IP. I finally rewrote the TCP/IP
specification in Microsoft Word format using Word tables and sterilizing
all of the language. Mike loved the design. I took control of the
project and moved forward with the design.

The new Dow Data Protocol (DDP) was an object oriented presentation
layer that let the server deliver small objects that could be
interpreted by a parser on the "Browser". There was no exchange of
actual code, but rather the exchange of class definitions, instance
tags, and method requests. The result was a client and server that could
send and receive objects and methods for functions like scrolling
headlines, real-time graphics, and real-time forms. After about 1 year,
the project was traded to HP and Sun in exchange for various usage
rights. Sun reworked the code a bit and created a new Language/Protocol
called Java.

Read that last sentence again. Rex is claiming credit for the design
and most of the code that became Java. He's claiming Sun and James
Gosling perpetrated a massive fraud on the world by claiming to have
created Java, when the real creator was Rexford Ballard (self-proclaimed
"Visionary for the Linux Community")

And that's just one of many of Rex's outlandish IT claims. He also said
he was personally responsible for saving FedEx $1M/day and generating
$1M/day in new revenue. I looked it up: $2M/day was 10% of FedEx gross
revenue back then. Not long after this miracle they fired him...

Rex is major loonie tunes. Snit can't come close to that kind of hooey.
Nobody on cola can. But Rex deserted cola (and his testes) and became
Debbie.

What's amazing is this fantasy world you've concocted: Snit's the kernel
and you run in Ring 0.

heh!

I know you've been running away - for years - from your bullshit lie
that "LibreOffice can do anything MS Office can do".

Rex may have been a delusional flake (and many advocates have said as
much), but he was harmless. He didn't use *lies* to attack decent
people, unlike DumFSck.

>>> It is amazing... and probably the biggest reason to doubt DFS' word.

It is amazing that you don't notice DumFSck lying all the time. You
must be one of those idiots who gives people a "pass" as long as they
don't attack you personally.

Whatever, Dumfsck, you bald-faced liar.

I should have wrote 'unlike DumFSck and the "Snit" thing.'

The absolute scum of the Earth, both of them.

Your bash skills are amazing. You can write VPN scripts and work with VPN
services you have and I do not in ways I cannot. You are a generous person.

I wonder how many times I need to serve your need to bloat your own ego
before you will stop trolling me.

use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow
superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

You forgot about yourself and m4r3K, two pieces of runny crap who wished
death on others for no good reason.
