Not quite.

They're both bullshit artists, though.

Lately your head is so far up Mark S. Bilk's ass, it's doubtful you

LOL

American culture is based on the automobile, and any young man of promise
is going to own one and want to travel great distances in it. Consequently,
any young woman of aspiration should expect to spend most of her vacations
in a car, probing into unfamiliar corners. She is not required to know how
to drive but she will certainly be expected to read the road map while her
husband drives, and if she can't, or if she's abnormally slow in giving him
help, she's bound to cause trouble. Therefore, you'd think that colleges
which train the bright young women who're going to marry the bright young
men who are going to own the Cadillacs that roar back and forth across this
continent would teach the girls to read maps. None do. They teach a hundred
other useless things, but never a word about the one that will cause the
greatest friction.

Sorry Marti, but that doesn't make any sense.

How will using and promoting Windows 8 damage it?
How will putting money into Microsoft's bank damage them?

Nobody needs to inflict any damage on Microsoft right now, they're doing
a great job of that all by themselves, far more effectively than anyone
else could possibly dream of. And the most damaging thing by far is the
public's almost unanimous rejection of Windows 8.

Your actions only serve to undermine that.

What else, exactly, do you expect to accomplish by supporting Microsoft
and its products, if not the advancement of Microsoft's interests?

If there's a joke hidden in the subtext, I'm afraid I can't see it.

The only joke is that some of you (not you) aren't smart enough to
see what sMarti is pulling. It amounts to the oldest trick in the
book.

1. sMarti professes his love for something, Windows in this case.
2. sMarti gets attacked by the Linux community and ostracized as
well.
3. sMarti being insecure and friendless comes up with a "gag post"
(key word gag) where he hints that this 'hole' (key word hole) affair
has been a joke.
4. The Linux community falls for it.

Rinse and repeat.

You guys need to lighten up. If you don't get the humor in Marti's "I love
Windows 8" campaign that's too bad, but he's far from being a Wintroll.

[quote]
Windows 8: Love is all that matters

This post is in stark contrast to my Microsoft Bashing history and
probably upsets quite a bunch of my On-Line Friends. In short: I
freaking Love Windows 8 and especially its Modern UI.

As most of you might know, I am a long term GNU/Linux user and Advocate,
yet something critically changed my views lately.

First of all there is Canonical, who IMHO totally lost focus and
direction. For us faithful and humble Ubuntu testers, Canonical's
changing direction almost everyday has become pretty frustrating. There
for I quit participating as a Ubuntu tester and the future doesn't look
bright for Canonical and Ubuntu. Who the hell do you think you are
fooling Mark and Jono?

Nobody amongst the Linux faithfull buys your pathetic vaporware and
attempt to vendor lock in® Is Canonical becoming Microsoft V2.0?

Beside that, there is the KDE SC release 4.10, which messed up the
pervious beautiful Air Theme of which the latest incarnation is clearly
copycat from Microsoft Windows 8's ugly "desktop-theme". Yikes :-(

So simple and clear I realy have hade it with GNU/Linux for a while and
now happily running Windows 8 from my SSD.

That's it for now, in a follow up post I will explain what's so great
about Windows 8.

If that's meant to be a joke, I don't get it.

Well, I didn't "get" Andy Kaufman, either. He went "too far", too.
But, some people are that way.

Who's Andy Kaufman?

Perhaps they should keep XP and then interact on the internet with
an easy Linux distro. I am thinking of part of Fortune 500 that is
still using XP. And then hire a coder or two for whatever is needed.
Honestly, they don't need MS Office as what they do is vastly simpler.
One of the local (mainly tobacco) corporation actually ask for
experience on a office suite not MS.

Don't shop Lowe's........barely a 'real' job.
Limit your use of Walmart......just too big.
Limit the big when possible, it exports jobs.
Congress is sold out to highest bidders.
Your vote barely counts.
Take your prescription drugs so you will be numb.
Eat fried sugar so your exit will come soon.

It's time for a new approach...........................Trig
