I run the KDE spin of Fedora. There were a few bumps in the road when I 
upgraded from 39 to 40 that I assumed were caused by the KDE Plasma / 
Wayland integration. That lasted a couple of weeks with a lot of updates. 

iirc the KDE and Qt release cycles were a little off from Fedora's. The 
only thing I noticed was a popup in QGIS that said dialog placement might 
be off but I didn't encounter any problems and it doesn't appear in 
3.40.3.

It hasn't been a problem in Ubuntu either. However I don't do scaling, 
weird visual effects, or play games other than mahjongg so I don't stress 
the system.
