I read an article this morning that Vista Outdoors is splitting the 
company in two and selling the parts individually. It's been in the works 
for a while but CSG raised its bid and it looks like it will get the 
ammunition part of the business. CSG is the  Czechoslovak Group, a holding 
company located in Prague.

Holding companies don't manufacture anything so I doubt CCI and Federal 
will leave Idaho and Minnesota respectively but you never know.

I remember reading the book when it first came out. At the time Geneen's 
ITT was the poster child for multinationals. It has gotten worse. ITT 
itself has had its finger in a lot of pies including the 1972 presidential 
election.
