What's interesting about this is how many times and places the press has picked up on it. This story is making the rounds at a couple of sites, all with the same, breathless, "this might be a Dyson Sphere" talk about it. But look up Dyson spheres and you'll read almost instantly how probably unlikely/impractical they are. The press has taken half of a scientist's quote and run with it ... in the wrong direction. Check back in a few years when they find this is the result of some weird debris field in an unexpected orbit, or a gas cloud, or some effect of gravitational lensing, or something else. Just because we can't immediately explain it doesn't mean an alien life force, unless of course it's a slow news day.
