Unquote On Tuesday , after a full day of not listening to anything I said, and appointment was made unilaterally to call me at noon [plus or minus--I don't remember the exact time] at the phone on the desk with the computer for the purpose of completely destroying my system and installing the software anew (Microsoft New Technology for "turn it of, count to 12, turn it back on and call in again if it still doesn't work"). At 8:00 somebody called my cell phone, which was at the other end of the house and down two flights of stairs.. I spent the WHOLE DAY trying to get somebody to take an interest in the problem. Silly me. Finally, late in the day the poor zero on the phone, in tears, made a new appointment for 8:00 AM on Thursday. Beginning at 7:00 I was at that desk, with my cell phone--neither ever rang. Finally, at 11:00 I gave up and scrapped the system. And sending emails like the one quoted above from an address that does not accept replies is just hostile. Why don't you accept replies and ignore them like you do telephone calls and chat lines? -- sed quis custodiet ipsos custodes? (Juvenal)
