The thing is, as more of the population gets online, the smaller the percentage that is interested in creating content. At best, most people will add some detail to a wikipedia entry, or retweet something. So they can be "participants" without having to do the heavy lifting. Previously, those people had no choice but to get a "PC" of some sort, now that they can get tablets or smartphones, they are no longer restricted. And indeed, for the consumer, having portability really is a useful thing. Michael
