I think double posting is not exactly the right way to increase traffic

Oh, how did that come about?  Did you change industries or picked a 
career path into management?

Not sure what the mention of download figures has to do with the rest of 
your posting.  I myself managed to write a bit of Ruby code by 
volunteering to write a Wiki statistics calculator for a favorite portal 
of mine.  And I was even able to squeeze in some ERB template usage. ;-)
