Greetings, we're pleased to announce the 0.11.1 release of Polisher, the post-release workflow processor for ruby gems and applications. Polisher is a Ruby library and collection of utilities geared towards cross referencing upstream packages and dependencies with those vendored downstream, such as in the RHEL and Debian distributions. Polisher provides a high level API which facilitates querying upstream sources including rubygems.org and git repos as well as downstream build and release platforms. Polisher also provides capabilities to manipulate ruby specific metadata, such as those gemspecs and project specific Gemfiles, inorder to transform them into downstream formats. Various executable utilities are provided to output version availability information in a consolidated manner and to orchestrate the upstream to downstream conversion process.
