According to the experts, the reason that the __members__() method was deprecated is that it was an "ugly hack". *Why* it was an ugly hack wasn't made clear (to me), unfortunately. My other postings to this topic show, I think, why the ability to know what's available (in the way of attributes) is a good thing, as I try to figure out how to get at my attributes without triggering __getattr__(), which I'm implementing.
