	Sounds normal.

	Python is a command-line language interpreter... It is not, by itself,
a GUI application development environment (for that there is the Tk based
IDLE, which is provided with most all Python installations; PythonWin,
provided with the ActiveState distribution and maybe still available as an
add-on; Python plug-ins for Eclipse).

	Open up a command shell and type Python... It should bring up the
interactive mode.
