I started learning python 3.3 for 13 days (including today) ago, using this book, with no programming experience: http://openbookproject.net/thinkcs/python/english3e/index.html the fact that the author uses the python turtle to teach readers object orientated programming, has been ALL the difference. by chapter 4, you are writing basic void and fruitful functions. it is awesome. it has exercises at the end of every chapter, that if you grind out, you learn a truckload from. and progress. If you put in the time, and glue your butt to a seat for as long as you can, as many days in a row, the results are very satisfying. the book is free. I highly recommend it.
