sys.exit() uses the normal exception mechanism to terminate a program:

I'd rather not

It won't derail a context manager:

>>> from contextlib import contextmanager
>>> @contextmanager
... def f():
...     try:
...             yield
...     finally: print "bye"
...

>>> with f():
...     sys.exit()
...
bye
