As a big huge hack, you can always write a wrapper class:

class Wrapper(object):
     def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs):
         self.__object = MySWIGClass(*args, **kwargs)
     def __getattr__(self, attr):
         try:
             return getattr(self.__object, attr)
         except AttributeError:
             ...
