No. I see it usually.
Python's zen says:
> Errors should never pass silently.
> Unless explicitly silenced.
When failed to write to stdout, Python should raise Exception.
You can silence explicitly when it's safe:
try:
print(...)
except BrokenPipeError:
os.exit(0)
