Right-click to bring up a menu with a "select" or "copy" option (IIRC) As for the error, see if there is file /users/wayne/idlerc/recent-files.lst And if there is, delete it. Or even delete the whole folder «idlerc». IDLE should be able to cope with it not being there at all: it wouldn't be there the first time IDLE is started by a user. - Thomas
