As others have pointed out, that's nonsensical.  If you don't like the GUI designer, just don't use it.

Why is it hard to get started with?  Download the installer, install, and:

import wx
app = wx.App(False)  
frame = wx.Frame(None, -1, "Hello World")
frame.Show(True)
app.MainLoop()
