We do not have handouts for the baby math circle organized neetly yet.

Here is what I wrote about the first meeting we discussed this on; we
needed to redo it on a next meeting because kids had problems with
scissoring ;-) the first time.

We repeated detailed explanation of the step of constructing the next
approximations to Sierpinski triangle (and introduced the name).  Had a chance
to repeat powers of 3.

Handout: a black path on a very detailed Sierpinski triangle; aim: continue
the pattern.  A snail goes with constant speed, and makes the first interval
in 1min.  How long would it it take for the snail to finish the path?
Everybody agrees that the path has infinitely many segments, so would take
"an eternity" to finish.

Next step: cut out two rectangles; check that the lengths are the same.
Fold the marked rectangle along the lines (so that the ONLY bends are the
marked bend - do not just double it again and again [many kids did not get
THIS part]) so that one gets a kind of a spiral.  Check that the spiral can
be positioned along the black path on the Sierpinski triangle.

We started to discuss whether this observation may change the conclusion that
it would take the snail "an eternity" to finish the path, but they did not
get the message yet.
