What do you mean by "looks bad"? the ogonek or acute accent or kropka
or other diacritical decorations are missing? or distorted? or what?
And how so?

Offer a bit more detail, for starters :-) . And which encoding are you
using for the Polish characters -- Mazovia? UTF-8? ISO-8859-2? Other?
(And there must be at least four dozen others, in point of fact :-) .)
