GB1 is a Chinese encoding, so its not too surprising that doesn't 
work.....

You could try /CSI [(Artifex) (Unicode) 0] or /CSI [(Artifex) (Identity) 
0]

Alternatively publish the PDF file somewhere that we can take a look at 
it, and obviate the guesswork.
