I just had a startling epiphany about Don Hopkins's lost
invention, the pie-menu. It occurs to me that the ideal
input device for using one of these, which would I believe
cinch the UI, is a little spring-loaded joystick.

Not unlike the thinkpad's "nipple", but bigger. So you can
pinch it
