There are a few 10MB high resolution .eps figures and more 1MB .eps figures. I'm not doing anything special with fonts. I was able to sucessfully create the .pdf from the .ps using Acrobat Distiller. Thus the problem is isolated to ps2pdf My OS is Ubuntu. uname -a Linux ben-desktop 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:05:01 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux Output from dvips follows: dvips
