Eclipse changed its website layout. It is even more difficult than
ever to figure out the following.

Which download should I pick if I am a Java developer. I would think
Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, 149 MB
but it does not seem to be downloaded very often. Are most people
using classic, or JEEE?

What version number of Eclipse is it. How can you find that out by
looking at the website?

When you get stuck trying to solve a computer program:
1. Go into the kitchen and make coffee.
2. If that fails, go for a walk.
3. If that fails, take a nap.
Why? To avoid being swamped with details, to see the big picture,
to allow in some random noise to kick you out of your thinking rut.

The download page clearly states "Eclipse Juno (4.2) Packages".
http://eclipse.org/downloads/

I got a long email from Wayne Beaton of Eclipse. It turns out the
Juno itself is a sort of version number.

In part he said:

Version numbers are a big challenge for us.

What most people think of as "Eclipse" is really a composite of bits
from multiple projects, each with their own development teams, release
schedules, and version numbers. We've tackled the release schedules
with the introduction of the simultaneous release, but the version
number remains a challenge.

The Simultaneous Release name is intended to be the version number. So
our most recent release (released today in fact) is "Juno". If pressed
to provide a version number, we generally go with the version of the
Eclipse SDK (produced by the Eclipse top level project) which is 4.2.
