I tried the 32 bit windows JDK 7 Standard Edition installer executable, downloaded from Oracle, on a Windows 2000 machine and got an error message to the effect that the executable file format was incorrect. Does that installer run OK on 32 bit Windows 2000 machines? I did not have a similar problem with the 32 bit JDK 6 installer. Thanks, Levent

The download page for Java SE 7u2 JDK
<http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html>
contains links to documentation including:
* Installation Instructions
* ReadMe
* ReleaseNotes
* Oracle License
* Java SE Products
* Third Party Licenses
* Certified System Configurations
The Certified System Configurations link does not list Windows 2000.
There is a Installation Troubleshooting section somewhere in there.
