Oracle has been moving many of its files from download.oracle.com to
docs.oracle.com. If you can't find something, look there, with the
rest of the name unchanged.

I am in the process of adjusting links at mindprod.com to reflect the
new homes.

I think they want to split the downloads and the online documentation
so they can use two different servers. ??

Maybe someone just did not like the idea of online docs being filed
under downloads.

Two servers????

:-)

Both download.oracle.com and docs.oracle.com are served by
a CDN (specifically Akamai).

I think we can assume multiple servers.

Yes they did. I got hundreds of them this morning. My BrokenLinks
software modifies my links semi-automatically to follow the permanent
redirects.

I always fix them within 24 hours. I never know how long they will be
retained. A link is a lot more work to fix after they drop the
redirect.
