Yes, thank you for clarifying that. Exactly right. I'm not the only one to
use the phrase "static class" in the context of Java to mean that, but
yes...it's imprecise language, especially given that Java assigns a
different meaning to the declaration "static class".

In C# (which is where my mind is usually, hence the goof), it would have
made more sense. There, there's no such thing as inner classes, and the
declaration "static class" does mean a class only with static members
(which the compiler enforces).
