Do you know many Java questions that can be formulated and answered in 
chat-form?

Anyway, I don't know about a chat as such, but back in the days on the 
SUN forum you generally did get an answer within a few hours, often 
within a few minutes -- provided you took the time properly to formulate 
your question.
