In case no connection to the deployment server can be established, the application is run from the local version from the last auto update. The application can run in stand alone mode, but quite obviously it will have limited capabilities (e.g. no online credit card transactions, no access to transactions created at other systems, etc.) It will need connectivity to the remote Oracle database to get new configuration data (e.g. prices) and to upload its own transactions.
