There are many resources. I like Oracle's. https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/index.html Their tutorial includes NetBeans, which I hear has been rewritten to be more efficient. When I started on Java NetBeans was slow so I used Eclipse, now I know Eclipse pretty well and see no reason to change.
