Hi All,
I have Windows 7. The Q is how to restart
an active IDE that was in a jar after a
complete shut down? My situation now is
on restarting the computer
I have to reopen the jar to get the IDE
and start again exactly as when I downloaded it
the first time.

During a "sleep mode" shut down, it keeps the IDE
available for immediate use after a restart.

TIA,
Bob

You'll have to tell Windows 7 to restart your active IDE after a shutdown.
You'll have to tell your IDE to restart where you left off following a
shutdown.
The commands required to do these things are specific to Windows 7 and
your IDE.
Check their respective manuals.
