What would something be that 'involves Java on the internet' ? Some more
details, as well as the actual error message, would be nice.

Well whenever something says "Allow java on this webpage" , like for a guitar tuner i use, or some sort of online game, i click run/ok and then it just doesnt work. Whatever uses the java just won't show up. Then my browser will say this page is not responding. Then i exit out of the browser but no error message appears. This happens on all of my browsers but ive never had this problem before.

It would help to know what browser, and what blocker software you are
using. I use Firefox 24.0, and NoScript 2.6.8.1, and AdBlock 2.3.2.
Also, what is the URL of the webpage you are visiting?

Can you use this page to verify that Java is installed correctly on your
Chrome browser?

64 bit Windows 8? Did you install a 64 bit or 32 bit Java? Are you
using a 32 bit browser (eg. Firefox)?

If you have a 64 bit Windows 8, you need to install the 32 bit version
of Java to use the plugin with Firefox. To run local applications you
will need the 64 bit version of Java as well.

So the first thing I would do is make sure that you have removed all
versions of the Java runtime and install new ones.

If it says the page is not responding, it has not even loaded the
page, much less your applet.

Take the applet code out of your page and work on getting the page to
display.
