That looks like a plain old typographical error in the script; it should likely be a recognized option: "java -version". If the script relies on detecting a particular version, correcting the script (if possible) and re-running it may provide more useful information. It looks as though the installer has its own supplied JRE, which it is probably using. You'd hope the supplied version of the JRE was compatible with the rest of the product. But, maybe not. >># The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code. So, the installer uses some native code, which apparently is the root of the problem. That native code may well require other libraries which are not compatible with the system. The OP should check the system requirements for the product have been met. -- Nigel Wade
