To: comp.lang.java.announce,c Hello all, A couple of colleagues and I are creating a 3D modelling application called Sapphire, intended primarily for creating 3D models and environments for games. The application is intended to promote a number of innovative features that make modelling of both organic and artificial objects a doddle. It's going to be free, open-source and extensible. I've put up a small website discussing the project in more detail and showing screenshots of it's current incarnation at www.btinternet.com/~richard.asbury/sapphire. We are currently looking for help with development. We are particularly looking for programmers (obviously we're working in Java) and OO designers, but anyone is welcome to join in. Even if you have little or no technical experience, you could still play a significant part in helping decide what should go into the application, and making sure that feature implementations are satisfactory. If you'd like to gain some technical expertise, this is a great way to do it, and a great thing to be able to put on a resume/CV. One of the main aims of the project is to get experience working in a team, and with this sort of application, and so any help would be gratefully received. Thanks, Richard Asbury P.S. This is not a homework assignment. --- * Synchronet * The Whitehouse BBS --- whitehouse.hulds.com --- check it out free usenet! --- Synchronet 3.15a-Win32 NewsLink 1.92 Time Warp of the Future BBS - telnet://time.synchro.net:24
