I see this as being on-topic, but it has simply been 
too vague* (with little chance of a conclusion, short
of the link to the download manager that you noticed) 
to be worth replying to.

Of course, you might always submit a bug report to the 
authors of the FDM, and uninstall it.

* And it is still hovering at the precipice.
