While googling I found a very interesting presentation on creating
amazing GUI's in java on this link -
http://developers.sun.com/learning/javaoneonline/j1sessn.jsp?sessn=TS-3548&yr=2007&track=2
. I was very much impressed and really want to read and learn more on
developing such interfaces. So please suggest some reading material
for this.
I know core java and basics of swing.
Still learning java..:)

All I found at that link was a "multimedia" presentation consisting of a
rather plain slide-show of bullet points and code examples, plus an
audio soundtrack of the speaker.

No video clips of the user interface he was demonstrating.

I was actually disappointed.

I had a quick flick through that book in a bookshop yesterday. It seemed
too much like pointless eye-candy to me, maybe I wasn't in the right
frame of mind. I bought an O'Reilly book "Swing Hacks" instead :-)

As an aside, the only book by Joshua Bloch was Java Puzzles (or some
similar title) which looked quite interesting. I think you'd have to
read it from end to end rather than use it as a reference when
encountering a problem.
